Torres Group History
- 1984
- ST Corporation was established by the late Robert J. Torres Sr., a wholesale distributor of various brands of premium wines, spirits and beer.
Western Sales Trading Company was established as the distributor for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company in Guam and the Micronesian region.
- 1990
- Ultimate Beach Inc. was developed with Mr.Yasuji Odaki and operated as Star Sand Private Beach Club in Anderson Air Force Base.
- 1992
- WSTCO Quality Feed Fertilizer and Supply was established.
- 1998
- Star Sand Private Beach Club accepted certificate of appreciation from White House Communications Agency. Christopher Torres, who was the late Mr. Robert Torres¡Çs second son, became CEO.
- 2001
- After 11 years of operation as the number one Japanese tour attraction, Star Sand Private Beach Club closed because of military security restrictions¡Ç following the September 11 attacks.
- 2003
- Home Designs Etc, a premium home furnishing store is opened in Upper Tumon.
- 2004
- WSTCO Okinawa was established. WSTCO enters joint venture to open.
- 2005
- TOYS'n JOYS is opened as a toy and gaming store.
POP & POUR opens as a premium wine retail store.
ST Corporation establishes ties with Asahi Breweries Ltd.
- 2006
- The Torres Group open a private printing shop to produce a full spectrum of signs, posters, menus and private labels box its various hotel, bar and restaurant clients.
- 2008
- ST Corporation partner with CHOYA Umeshu Co,. Ltd to distributor its products in Micronesia and Guam.
- 2009
- ¡ÈTOYS'n JOYS¡É changed its name to ¡ÈGAMES UNLIMITED¡É.
At the present time, the children of Robert J. Torres, Ed Torres and Melissa Torres, also serve as directors of the Torres Group. The Torres Group has worked hard to develop and grow new business. They are a leading premier business company on Guam and maintain a good working relationship with the many companies they deal with.
Robert Torres Jr. who is the first son of the late Robert Torres Sr. was appointed as chief Justice of the Supreme Court Guam.
